The EUFA Euro 2016 is one of the most highly anticipated events in the football calendar this year, with the final 24 teams now competing to win the Henri Delaunay Trophy and be called the Champions of European football. Mercedes-Benz is joining in the extravaganza and has launched 'Sport Edition' variants of some of the cars in its lineup especially in support of their home team - Germany. The limited edition cars are targeted at young (whether in age or at heart) football enthusiasts who would like to express their passion through the cars they drive too.
The Sport Edition variants are only available in the A-Class, CLA-Class and GLA range of cars. While only 54 units of the A-Class Sport Edition are available, 108 units each of the CLA-Class Sport Edition and GLA Sport Edition are up for grabs. These limited variants will be on sale till 10 July, 2016 - one day before the final match of the EURO 2016 is played.

The additions to the Sport Edition variants of these cars are mainly cosmetic - these will enhance the sporty look of these cars with the help of AMG accessories.
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sport Edition variant will be offered with both the A 180 and the A 200 d engine options. The additional equipment on the outside includes a 'Sport Edition' badge, carbon-fibre mirror covers, black hub caps, black valve caps, black front apron spoiler lip, chrome apron trim, black painted diamond grille, body-colour painted roof-spoiler and diffusor-look rear apron. Inside, the A-Class Sport Edition is fitted with stainless-steel pedals.
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 Sport Edition and CLA 200 d Sport Edition are fitted with the following features on the outside - 'Sport Edition' badge, carbon-fibre mirrors covers, black hub caps, black valve caps, AMG front bumper with larger air intakes and body-coloured spoiler lip, AMG side-skirts, AMG rear bumper with pronounced contours. On the inside the sporty touch is limited to the stainless-steel pedals.
The Mercedes-Benz GLA 200 Sport Edition and the GLA 200 d Sport Edition are fitted with 'Sport Edition' badge at the rear, carbon-fibre mirror covers, black hub caps, blak valve caps, matt titanium-grey front splitters, additional surfacing over side air intakes on the front bumper, side-skirts, AMG rear bumper for a wider look. Inside, these variants are also fitted with stainless-steel pedals.

Mercedes-Benz will also offer official merchandise of the German football team through its dealerships to potential customers. 26 Mercedes-Benz dealerships across the country will also feature installations inside to create a special atmosphere for football enthusiasts.
